Fernwood Education Improvement Programme (EIP)
The Fernwood EIP is part of the City-wide EIP strategy and was established in 2006 and aims to raise levels of achievement and improve outcomes for children and young people in the Wollaton area.
The main priority is to support, maintain and extend the transition of pupils from Year 2 to Year 3 and Year 6 to Year 7.
Fernwood EIP is supporting these children through extra curricular activities both in and outside the classroom. By bringing students from the schools together, the schools are creating a community network which will help to support the Year 2 and Year 6 students in their transition to Junior and Secondary schools.
ICT developments in 2008/09 will be sustained in the cluster to ensure information is relevant and available to the Fernwood pupils, parents and community.
