Sports Academy – Based at Ellis Guilford School and Sports College

Sports Academy based at Ellis Guilford School and Sports CollegeThe multi-skills sports academy targets a different year group each term for all of the primary schools within the EIP. A small number of boys and girls are identified by each school link to attend a weekly programme which offers and promotes fun and sports skills building. This experience develops the competence and confidence of the children attending and links are made to local sports clubs wherever possible. Each academy finishes with a celebration session.

Parent Support Workers

Primary schools within the Ellis Guilford EIP now have Parent Support Workers (PSWs)who provide the link between parents and school. These workers help support a range of family learning and adult education programmes to offer parents support and new opportunities for themselves as well as increasing parents' links with what is happening in schools. PSWs also have copies of our recently published Services Directory which all families connected to EIP schools should have received. Contact school receptions to find out details.

All our schools have good links with local children's centres and these offer a range of activities and support for children and families.
