Your Councillors
Nottingham City Council is a democratic organisation, with 55 Councillors representing electors in the 20 electoral wards in the City of Nottingham. There is a local election every four years when all 55 seats are contested.
To find who the Councillors for your ward are, visit the Find your local Councillors page. Councillor reports for 2008/09 are now available on Councillors individual pages. The reports provide a summary of what your local representative(s) have been doing.
Portfolio Holders
Each portfolio holder is a member of the Executive Board. They take a lead on a range of issues:
- Leader – Councillor Jon Collins

Resources, Economic Development and Reputation - Councillor Hassan Ahmed- Employment and Skills
- Councillor Katrina Bull - Environment and Climate Change

- Councillor Alan Clark- Neighbourhood Regeneration
- Councillor Dave Liversidge - Housing Delivery and the Voluntary Sector
- Councillor David Mellen - Children's Services
- Councillor David Trimble - Leisure, Culture and Customers
- Councillor Jane Urquhart - Transport and Area Working
Executive Assistants
Executive assistants give research and political support to the portfolio holders. The executive assistants are:
- Councillor Cat Arnold- Leisure, Culture and Customers
- Councillor Mohammed Ibrahim- Children's Services
- Councillor David Smith- Environment and Climate Change
Leaders of the opposition groups:
