Ultraband
The Ultraband project is an ERDF-funded pilot programme to explore how SMEs can use significantly enhanced connectivity to transform their performance, and to help plan for future sustainable levels of connectivity.
The project researches how access to enhanced digital infrastructure can support business growth and economic development in Nottingham. It is supporting access to digital infrastructure and high specification broadband for three business centres located in disadvantaged communities within the City of Nottingham; providing a fund to support innovative business-based projects; and researching how this can spark high growth in fledgling businesses.
Nottingham City Council is working with partners on the design, implementation, and management of the network on which the Ultraband research programme will be based. A new partner, Redstone has developed the Ultraband network and is now delivering services to the Broadway, Antenna and Mercury House business centres as part of the programme.
