Shopmobility

Access to Nottingham City Centre's shops and facilities with the free loan to members of self propelled or powered wheelchairs, 3 and 4 wheeled scooters.

  • Shopmobility officeHow do I become a shopmobility member?
    To join, you will need to complete a short application form and provide photographic ID, such as a passport, driving licence or bus pass and recent proof of your address (within the last 3 months).
    Your membership card will be posted to your address and you should bring this card with you whenever you need to use the service.
    We reserve the right to refuse the loan of any wheelchair or scooter at any time.

  • What does Shopmobility offer me?
    Once a Shopmobility member, you have access to use to the following:

    • Free loan of self propelled or powered
      wheelchairs

    • Free loan of 3 or 4 wheeled scooters

    • Free parking for up to 4 hours at both Victoria Centre and Broadmarsh car parks when using the shopmobility services

    • Assistance with loading and unloading of shopping and equipment

    • Booking available up to 3 days in advance

    • Wheelchair accessible toilet at both sites

  • I'm only visiting Nottingham, can I use Shopmobility too?
    Visitors to Nottingham can join Shopmobility on a temporary membership. Photographic ID must be shown and you may be asked to leave a deposit. The type of equipment available on loan to a temporary member maybe restricted.

  • Opening Hours
    Both Broadmarsh and Victoria Centre Shopmobility offices are open:
    Monday - Saturday 0900 - 1700**
    **All equipment must be returned by 1600

  • Visiting by car

    • Broadmarsh Shopmobility
      Parking is not provided in the bus station, but special places are available within the Broadmarsh Car Park, available free for up to 4 hours. Use the lift to access the bus station and Shopmobility is located in the Travel Centre here.
      If required, you can be met with your scooter in the car park, this can be arranged when you book.

    • Victoria Centre Shopmobility
      Located in the Victoria Centre's main car park off Woodborough Road (White zone, Cairn Street). Park in the special spaces which are available free for up to 4 hours.
      If required, you can be met with your scooter in the car park, this can be arranged when you book.

  • Help or Assistance
    Our staff are always willing to help. If you require special assistance please discuss when booking and we will try to accommodate your requirements.
    If you need help once out and about, please call our Shopmobility Centre on (0115) 915 3888.

  • Training
    To comply with our insurance, each member whether full or temporary must have a short training session to cover the operation of the motorised scooters and wheelchairs.
