The Nottingham Cycle Map

Free copies of our cycle map can be collected from a variety of locations including libraries, leisure centres and the Tourism Information Office in Market Square. We would also be happy to send you one out - please email transport.strategy@nottinghamcity.gov.uk or call 0115 876 3942 with your details.

Cycle City Ambitions

Nottingham City Council has secured £6.1 million from the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) to kick start an overhaul of Nottingham's cycle facilities. The funding is for 2 years starting in April 2015 through to March 2017 and will be delivered in collaboration with a number of partner organisations. Cycle Design Guide

We have recently published the first edition of our cycle design guide. This guide will be a live document which will be regularly updated to reflect changing trends in cycle infrastructure design but will also demonstrate the ongoing work being carried forward throughout the City to improve cycle facilities. This can be downloaded from our cycle city website.

Construction

Construction on our Western Cycle Corridor began on Monday 19th October 2015. You can view plans for the works by visiting the Cycle City Website.

Cycling Safely Around the Tram Network

As part of the expansion of the tram network, cycling improvements such as new cycle paths and cycle lanes have been installed, as well as new toucan crossings for cyclists and pedestrians. Cyclists do, however, need to be careful when crossing the new tram tracks. Explore Nottingham by Bike

Explore Nottingham run free guided cycle rides around Nottingham and Nottinghamshire every week. The cycle rides are great fun, free and a good way to get out and about and explore a bit of your local area. For details visit The Big Wheel - Explore Nottingham

Breeze Cycling

The Breeze network is British Cycling's new national network of bike rides for women. Supported by Sport England lottery funding, Breeze delivers tens of thousands of cycling opportunities for women across England, including help finding cycling tuition or your nearest cycle stockist. Cycle Training and Maintenance
